‘Bayonetta 3’ Is Finally Released For The Switch This October

It’s been a good while since Bayonetta 3 was announced, but the game is finally getting released this October.

Introducing a new playable character called Viola and her giant cat called Cheshire, you will also be able to play as the traditional Bayonetta.

It seems the story has some kind of multiverse setup and that some enemies are called “homunculi”, but really we’re all here for the incredibly intricate and stylish action gameplay.

In the latest trailer (shown below) the game is looking very good in a visual sense, but what you actually do in terms of the game’s combat looks to be everything I had hoped for.

In addition to the digital release, which is already available to pre-order for $59.99, there will also be a physical Trinity Masquerade Edition that also comes with a 200 page artbook among other things.

The price point and other details for the Trinity Masquerade Edition will also be released at a later date, so I will be keeping an eye out for that.

Furthermore, the original Bayonetta will be receive a physical edition for Switch on September 30. It goes without saying that the original Bayonetta is a peerless game and is worth picking up either in digital or physical form.

Bayonetta 3 will be released for the Switch on October 28.
