The Bestselling Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor Is $90 Off For Prime Day

As a parent, sleep is precious. We crave it, we celebrate it and we talk about it a lot. We’ll also do anything to get more of it. That’s one of the reason the bestselling Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor is so popular. And, right now it’s marked down 30% from $300 to $210 on Amazon during its Prime Day sales event (which, by the way, ends tonight, in just a couple hours!).

Before having a child, I assumed that there’d be a couple of weeks during which my family and I didn’t get a ton of sleep, but that it would swiftly improve from there. Oh, how blissfully naive I was. That was, as you might imagine, not the case. While our son was sleeping in a bassinet next to me, it was easy to know what he was up to. When he moved into his own nursery, however, I realized the baby monitor we had just wasn’t cutting it.

After doing extensive research, I came to believe the Nanit would be the ideal solution for a few reasons. For one, it can easily be attached to a wall mount, stand or table mount so you can always ascertain the optimal view of your baby. It offers incredibly clear 1080p video coverage that’s available via their user-friendly app, which also offers sound and motion alerts as well as sleep tracking. You can hear or speak to your baby from anywhere, turn on white noise and even adjust it as a nightlight.

But, the real triumph of this baby monitor is that it monitors breathing and temperature. As any new (especially first-time parent) knows, these two things are some of the biggest stressors as an infant begins to sleep in a separate space.

Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor And Wall Mount

Thanks to a handy printed band that wraps comfortably around an infant’s chest, the Nanit can show you real-time data about your baby’s breathing and sleep cycle. Utilizing this data, the Nanit app offers you guidance and sleep tracking so you can keep all of your information in one place. It even shows you a time-lapse view of their evening and quantifies how much they woke up, how many times a caretaker visited and more. In short, it’s like a less expensive night nurse.

In addition to the discount currently offered on Amazon, the Nanit Pro Smart comes with a one-year subscription to the Insights Plan, which tracks your child’s sleep habits, offers useful tips and recognizes patterns. Based on that, it supplies content and information to help improve your child’s sleep activity. Plus, it even collects photos of sweet moments like morning pickups or nighttime routines and shows them to you in a shareable memory snippet on a regular basis.

While it was one of the best purchases for our at-home nursery, I also found The Nanit was helpful while traveling with or without our son. The app allows for two users to utilize it simultaneously. So, if his grandparents were having a hard time getting him down and he needed some verbal reassurance from mom, I could pop on the app and remind him “Mommy always comes back.” And since it works as a sound machine and nightlight, it negated the need to lug around so many electronics when we took a weekend trip.

Ultimately, the ease of use and peace of mind this product provided my family was more than worth the cost. If you’re looking for a simple user experience, some guidance when you’re feeling especially exhausted and a quality baby monitor you know will work every time, definitely consider the Nanit—especially while it’s on sale.
